This attractive, well decorated farmhouse offers charming accommodation in traditional surroundings. It benefits from a secluded, south facing courtyard, with a swimming pool and is in an ideal location in the village of Xaghra. The village has a pretty central square with a few local restaurants and bars and is only a few minutes drive to the beach at Ramla Bay and a variety of interesting historical, cultural and sporting attractions.

Interior

The beautiful limestone walls and arched ceilings of this newly converted farmhouse add to its serene, calm ambience. It has been decorated using attractive and good quality furnishings throughout and provides a tranquil venue for a relaxing holiday. It has a spacious, open plan living and dining area with wood beamed ceilings, a fully fitted kitchen with large patio doors to the courtyard. Ta Clara has four comfortable bedrooms. A double bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has an en-suite bathroom. Three bedrooms are on the first floor. Two have three single beds in each of them and have en-suite shower rooms. The fourth bedroom has twin beds.

Exterior

The pretty courtyard-style garden and swimming pool area are a south facing sun trap. They offer a sheltered venue for hours of al fresco relaxation and dining and the area can be romantically lit at night. The swimming pool measures 7.5 x 3.7 metres and is entered by roman steps. There is a large terrace overlooking the pool area on the first floor of the house which offers additional sun beds and patio seating.

Amenities

Ta Clara is located in the lovely village of Xaghra. It is a few minutes walk to the attractive village square where one can mingle with the famously friendly Gozitan people. Several colourful restaurants and bars spill onto the pavement offering local cuisine and there is a neighbourhood mini market nearby. The nearest beach is Ramla which is just a five minute drive away and other sights in the area include Xerri’s Grotto and Ninu’s Cave.

Services

For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service with a mid week towel change and bathroom clean.

Car Requirements

We strongly recommend that you pre-book transfers from Malta Airport to your villa in Gozo. We also consider it essential to hire a car on this fascinating island. The roads are good and every kilometre brings a new and interesting surprise. We can arrange transfers and supply a good selection of rental cars or jeeps.
