This excellent, country villa is in a breathtakingly beautiful country setting. It has spectacular, panoramic views over miles of green rolling hills with orange groves providing a wonderful citrus aroma. It is in a uniquely beautiful location which is perfect for a relaxing and memorable villa holiday away from the main tourist areas. It is less that a twenty minute drive to the lively, picturesque village of Polis, where there is a wealth of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. The fishing village of Latchi, with its beach and many fish restaurants, is a fifteen minute drive from the villa.

Interior

This modern villa has been decorated and finished to a high standard. It is extremely bright with the use of many windows and patio doors to reveal the unbeatable surrounding scenery. The spacious ground floor has been laid out in traditional Cypriot style, with a large living room, dining area and kitchen. French doors lead out to the terrace from both the living room and kitchen. This lovely villa has four large well appointed bedrooms. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms one with twin beds, an en-suite shower and patio doors to the terrace. The other ground floor bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite Jacuzzi bath. Leading off the living room is a guest cloakroom. The master bedroom on the first floor has a double bed, an en-suite shower room and French doors that lead out to a balcony with excellent views. The other bedroom on the first floor has twin beds and balcony access. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and Villa Icarus has optional air-conditioning throughout which is to be arranged and paid for locally.

Exterior

This villa blends seamlessly into the surrounding countryside and enjoys wide views of spectacular scenery. The substantial orange groves are a delight and provide mouth-watering fruit when in season. Directly outside the dining room there is a raised, dining terrace with steps or a ramp leading down to the poolside terrace and garden. Or guests can choose to eat next to the pool under a large gazebo. Both areas are equipped with outdoor furniture and provide idyllic setting for al fresco dining, while enjoying the views, peace and quiet in this marvellous climate. The exceptionally large swimming pool measuring 7 x 14 metres cascades in to a children’s pool below on a separate terrace level. The main pool is accessed by roman steps and is surrounded by an extensive sunbathing terrace.

Amenities

This beautiful region with its breathtaking views and miles and miles of picturesque coastline makes this a wonderful setting for a villa holiday. This area also provides a variety of road-side restaurants and taverns offering everything from traditional Greek food to international cuisine. The Steni valley is located near coastal resort of Polis, which has become a charming and active venue for people wanting the smaller tourist areas on the island. It has a picturesque square full of lively Cypriot bars and restaurants, with a few shops in between. This is a perfect venue to while away the hours enjoying delicious food and local life. Following the coastline to the west, lies the simple village of Latchi, with its long beach, small harbour and large choice of traditional fish restaurants dotted along the sea front. From the harbour, a variety of coastal excursions can be booked, including small boat hire for fishing trips. The sporting and adventure facilities in the area are endless and include diving, snorkelling, exciting jeep safaris and balloon flights. A ten minute drive from the villa takes you to thew best trout fishing on the island at a local resevoir. The Baths of Aphrodite are among many famous tourist attractions in the area and a drive to the Troodos mountains provides a beautiful and fascinating spectacle of Cyprus.

Services

For guests staying longer than a week there is a weekly maid service and a mid-week towel change.The air conditioning is an optional extra and to be arranged and paid for locally.
