This traditional farmhouse has been converted into a lovely holiday home in charming Gozitan style. It is located on the outskirts of the ancient village of Xaghra, a perfect place for a memorable holiday while enjoying the peace and calm of Gozo. The village has several good restaurants set around the lovely village square, overlooking the splendid church. It is only a few minutes drive to the beach at Ramla Bay and a variety of interesting historical, cultural and sporting attractions.

Interior

Dar il Bambina has been lovingly refurbished throughout using traditional materials. The large open plan living room has stylish rattan furniture and a feature fireplace. The kitchen area has a breakfast table, a wooden beamed ceiling and arched doors leading to the pool area. Steps from the ground floor lead down to a large family shower room. On the first floor there are three delightful bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and patio doors opening on to a Juliette balcony. Two further bedrooms have twin beds and share a bathroom. These bedrooms both have patio doors leading to a shared balcony, which overlooks the swimming pool. Dar il Bambina can accommodate up to six adults in the existing bedrooms and a further child under twelve on a fold away bed.

Exterior

Patio doors from the kitchen lead out to the sun terrace surrounding the private 5.8 x 4.2 metre swimming pool, which is entered via ladder steps. Patio dining furniture offers the opportunity of al fresco dining in the warm evenings. Steps from the first floor lead to two fabulous roof terraces, one of which offers spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and out to sea.

Amenities

Centrally situated within the village of Xaghra this farmhouse is within a short walk to the delightful tree lined square at the centre of the village with a couple of traditional restaurants and bars where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the very friendly locals. The village is encircled by the beautiful bays of Ramla, Ghajn Barrani and Marsalforn and offers fantastic views of the surrounding Gozitan landscape. Ramla with its honey-red sand is the nearest beach five minutes drive away and is by far the most popular beach on the Gozo.

Services

For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service with a mid week towel change and bathroom clean.
