It is located in a tranquil area of the beautiful village of Xaghra. It is only a fifteen minute walk to the main square where there is a selection of good restaurants and bars, overlooking the ancient church.
InteriorThis charming, spacious, two storey property has retained its original Gozoitan charm with a mixture of natural lime stone, whitewashed stone and vaulted ceilings. The farmhouse has a beautiful, large living room with an open fireplace, dining area and sweeping staircase to the first floor. It has patio doors to the pool area. There is a separate kitchen with a large breakfast table and there is access to a further terrace. The house has three bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room. A twin room and one with a single bed share a full bathroom with a bath and separate shower. There is optional air-conditioning in the master bedroom which has to be arranged and paid for locally.
ExteriorThe sheltered outdoor area is particularly attractive and is surrounded by limestone walls, at one end it has a large covered area giving guests cool shade. An extensive sun terrace surrounds the lovely 8x5 metre swimming pool and is furnished with sun beds, patio dining furniture and a barbecue. This is a tranquil place for enjoying hours of al fresco relaxation.
AmenitiesThis farmhouse is located in a quiet road near the centre of the village of Xaghra. It is a 5 minute walk to the local mini market and a 15 minute walk to the pretty little central square with its local restaurants and bars. Nearby sights include the Xerri’s Grotto and Ninu’s Cave and the nearest of beach of Ramla is just a 5 minute drive away.
ServicesFor guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service with a mid week towel change and bathroom clean.
Car RequirementsIt is essential to hire a car on this fascinating island. The roads are good and every kilometre brings a new and interesting surprise. We can supply a good selection of rental cars or jeeps.
