This beautiful, restored farmhouse offers fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. It is located on the outskirts of the traditional village of Gharb, just a few minutes drive from the central picturesque square with a couple of local bars and a supermarket. For larger groups Dar Ghardira is located next door.

Interior

This charming property has a spacious living room with a dining area and large double French doors which lead to the pool area offer rural views. Intricate attention to detail, traditional furnishings feature throughout the property, including old oil lamps and farming tools. The separate kitchen has modern appliances, marble work surfaces and a breakfast table. Dar Ta Pinu has three delightful bedrooms, which all have ceiling fans. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor; it has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a guest cloakroom with shower on the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads to the two remaining bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and patio doors leading to a private balcony, offering excellent rural and distant sea views. The third bedroom has twin beds, an en-suite shower room and patio doors leading to an upper terrace, which is also shared with the master bedroom.

Exterior

Patio doors from the living room lead to a very large sunbathing area, which surrounds the 6.5 x 4 metre swimming pool, entered via roman steps. A beautiful covered area with patio furniture and a barbecue provide the perfect setting for shaded al-fresco dining and offer excellent rural and distant sea views.

Amenities

Dar Ta Pinu is situated in the typical Gozitan village of Gharb. There is a small central village square about a three minute drive, with a pharmacy, bakery, supermarket and a bar. A couple of farmhouse style restaurants can be found in the village and the resorts of Xlendi and Marsalforn are a short drive away with a selection of more restaurants and local bars.

For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service.

Car Requirements

It is essential to hire a car on this fascinating island. The roads are good and every kilometre brings a new and interesting surprise. We can supply a good selection of hire cars or jeeps.
