Here there are several good restaurants set around the lovely village square, overlooking the splendid church. It is only a short drive to the beach at Ramla Bay and a variety of interesting historical, cultural and sporting attractions.
InteriorThis beautiful farmhouse has been tastefully furnished throughout. Its marvellous tiled floors, high ceilings with wooden beams and arched windows are all in typical Gozitan style. The living room has a delightful seating area, a dining table and French doors leading to a covered dining terrace. An archway leads to a separate, traditional kitchen with bare stone walls. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, which can be accessed via either an internal spiral staircase, or external steps from the private terrace surrounding the pool area. The large master bedroom has a double bed, an en-suite shower room and two sets of patio doors leading to separate balconies, offering excellent views of the surrounding area. The remaining two bedrooms have twin beds, one has an en-suite shower room and the other has an adjacent shower room.
Please note that the spiral staircase to the first floor is a traditional Gozitan staircase, therefore it is very narrow and steep. Guests should bear this in mind if considering travelling with young children.
ExteriorPatio doors from the living room lead out to a covered dining terrace, which offers the perfect place to have a cool drink and take a break from the warm sunshine. The large sunbathing terrace has mature palm trees and sub-tropical potted plants and flowers, which surround the 7.2 x 3.8 metre swimming pool, entered via ladder steps.
AmenitiesCentrally situated within the village of Xaghra this farmhouse is within a short walk to the delightful tree lined square at the centre of the village with a couple of traditional restaurants and bars where you can sit and enjoy a drink with the very friendly locals. The village is encircled by the beautiful bays of Ramla, Ghajn Barrani and Marsalforn and offers fantastic views of the surrounding Gozitan landscape. Ramla with its honey-red sand is the nearest beach five minutes drive away and is by far the most popular beach on the Gozo.
