Upper Constantia is the most affluent part of Constantia closes to the mountains and the wine estates of Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Buitenverwachting. It is perhaps the least windy of all of the Cape Town suburbs, protected from the Cape Doctor south-easterly wind that is the Cape's own Mistral in the summer months.
