Villas in San Carlos

San Carlos is a small whitewashed village located between Cala San Vicente and Santa Eulalia. It has a long-standing reputation as a meeting point for the hippies and the foreign residents of the island, who gather over a cup of coffee or a snack in one of the bars. Renowned in years gone by for its community of artists, it first became associated with hippies as far back as the 1960s and this tradition has carried on today with the Saturday “Hippy” market just south of the village at the Las Dalias restaurant. San Carlos has grown in recent years and continues to do so but even so, if you blink while driving through you can easily miss it. San Carlos is also the junction where roads meet, that later branch off to the stunning beaches on the east coast of the island, such as Cala Leña, Cala Nova and Cala Mastella.
