Munxar
The tiny Gozitan village of Munxar is just a 15 minute walk from Victoria, the historical capital of Gozo, and is surrounded by magnificent green scenery. It is a very traditional village with a population of about 700. Although there are no restaurants in Munxar itself, you will find a good selection of café, bars and restaurants in Victoria and the nearby seafront village of Xlendi. Victoria, with its magnificent basilica and its labyrinth of tiny streets, is brimming with character. Just off of the main square in Victoria, you can enjoy the Gozo 360 sound and vision presentation and be transported across the island's countryside and the centuries. Xlendi, a small fishing village popular with tourists, is one of the islands ideal spots for bathing and diving. Munxar and its surrounding area is known for its spectacular sunsets over the crystal waters and is ideal for relaxing walks.
