Constantia
Constantia, one of the oldest suburbs in Cape Town, is famous for its historic winefarms and beautiful homes. One of the most affluent areas in Cape Town, it boasts some of the oldest wine estates in South Africa, including Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, and Constantia Uitsig. Constantia is located on the east side of the Constantiaberg mountains and is a 15 minute drive from the center of Cape Town. The beaches of False Bay are a 10-20 minute drive as are the Atlantic Beaches.
Upper Constantia Upper Constantia is the most affluent part of Constantia closes to the mountains and the wine estates of Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Buitenverwachting. It is perhaps the least windy of all of the Cape Town suburbs, protected from the Cape Doctor south-easterly wind that is the Cape's own Mistral in the summer months.
